Welcome to the Communications Workers of America District 6. CWA District 6 is responsible for supporting the CWA Locals in the states of Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas and Arkansas.
Across this five state area 124 CWA Local Unions operate daily representing over 81,000 workers. We are a very diversified District representing telecommunications, cable, print and publishing, manufacturing, public workers, health care, law enforcement, and workers in numerous other fields.
The CWA District 6 Headquarters Office is located in Austin, Texas with the Northern Area Office in St. Louis. Staff Offices are located in Austin, Houston, Dallas, St. Louis, and Kansas City. Wherever you are in the five state areas there is a CWA Local Union nearby. CWA Locals are located in every major city as well as in numerous smaller communities.
