Andy began working for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1974 as a Lineman in Austin, Texas. He also worked as an Installer and Customer Services Technician. Andy served as a job steward, was elected Chief Steward in 1982, Vice President in 1985 and President of Local 6132 in 1988. While President of the Local, Andy was responsible for the Local's organizing and served on numerous bargaining committees. He was also very active in the Democratic Party in Austin. In 1990, he was appointed CWA Representative assigned to the Houston Staff Office. In March of 1999, he was appointed Assistant to the Vice President and on April 1, 2000, he was appointed Vice President of District 6. He was then elected Vice President of District 6 at the 62nd Annual CWA Convention in Anaheim, California. Andy is married to Shana and they have two girls, Jenny and Christina. |

Richard began working for GTE of the Southwest in Irving, Texas in 1973 as an Installer/Repairman and several years later worked as a Cable Splicer assigned to the maintenance crew. Richard served as a strike captain in the 1980 strike against GTE Southwest, became a unit steward, and was elected in 1980 to be the Division/District Representative for the Irving, Texas location. Richard was elected Vice President of Local 6171 in 1985, Executive Vice President in a special election in 1987 relocating to San Angelo, Texas and Local President in 1988. As Local President, Richard was responsible for the overall administration of Local 6171, served on several bargaining committees, oversaw all organizing projects and was actively involved in all pending arbitration cases. In April of 1998 Richard was appointed CWA Representative and assigned to the Austin Staff Office. In March of 2000 he was appointed Area Director, Austin, Texas. As of May 2006 Richard was appointed Assistant to Vice President. Richard is married to Gayle and they have three grown children, two boys and a girl. Greg, Elizabeth and Cody. |

Ed began his career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in January 1971 as a Cable Splicer’s Helper in Kansas City, Kansas . He then became a Cable Splicer and Station Installer. In 1975 he transferred to Cable Repair Technician in Mission, Kansas. In 1986 he transferred to an Air Condition Specialist, a title he held until his official retirement from SBC in March 2002. Ed came from a strong union household becoming a Job Steward in 1975 and was elected to the Local 6325 Executive Board in 1987. In 1990 he became President of Local 6325 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was appointed as the first CWA/SBC Benefits Representative for District 6 in 1998. In 1999, Ed was appointed CWA Representative in the Kansas City Staff Office. As a CWA Representative, Ed was assigned to assist in SBC Bargaining in 2001 and 2004. He also chaired Sprint Midwest negotiations in 2003 and 2006, and several other smaller Collective Bargaining Agreements. He was a Democratic Precinct Committeeman from 1995 until 2003. In June 2006 Ed was appointed Area Director, Central and South Texas, located in the District 6 Office in Austin, Texas. In 1999 Ed earned a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Human Resources from Ottawa University, KC. He then began working toward a Master’s Degree in Human Resources. He acquired a Certificate of Graduate Studies in Human Resource Management from Ottawa University KC in July 2004. Ed is married to Kathy and they have five grown children, three boys and twin daughters, and six grandchildren. |

Michael J. Littleton was born and reared in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was hired in 1971 by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. During his employment with Bell, he held positions from Utility Man to Communications Technician. Michael served Local 6016 as a Steward, Vice President, Executive Vice President and Local President. While serving as Local President, he served on the Oklahoma City Mayor’s Advisory Committee and A. Philip Randolph Institute Vice President of Oklahoma County. In 1988 he was promoted to a CWA Representative and relocated to St. Louis. He transferred to the Dallas Staff office in 1990. He has conducted numerous training sessions for CWA sponsored classes, including Mobilizing, Parliamentary Procedures and Organizing. Michael and his wife Shaune have 3 daughters and 4 grand children and moved to Austin, Texas in March 2002 due to Mike’s new position as Southern Area Director. |

Currie began his career as an Installer with Western Electric. He served as a Job Steward and was elected City Representative in Lubbock, Texas. After being surplussed, he transferred to Southwestern Bell Telephone and became a Cable Repairman in Odessa, Texas. He served as Job Steward, Chief Steward – Plant, and was elected Local President of CWA Local 6127. He served in that capacity for over eight years. He was appointed to a CWA Representative position in 1986. He and his wife, Karen, have three daughters – Alexis, Andrea, and Ashley. |

Gloria Parra started her career with S.B.C. in Feb. 1968. Through her employment with Bell she was a Long Distance Operator, Circuit Provisioning Clerk and Frame attendant. Her Union experience started as a member of CWA 6143 - San Antonio.During Gloria’s 29 years she has served as a Vice-President, Legislative Director and then served as President of that Local for nine years. She took a union-leave of absence to become a Staff Representative in District 6. She retired from S.B.C in 2002 with 33 years service. In total she has 38 years of membership in CWA. During this time Gloria has had many opportunities to serve in her political community by being a Precinct Chair for over 31 years, a Delegate to the Texas State Convention 17 times, Delegate to 5 National Democratic Conventions and Chairperson for 4 Senatorial Democratic Conventions in Bexar County. Her opportunities to serve in the Community have been on the San Antonio Civil Service Commission for 8 years, the Bexar County Private Industry Council, State Private Industry Council (appointed by Governor Ann Richards), San Antonio United Way Executive Board and on the Texas United Way Board. In 1989 she was selected to be one of 25 participants in the National Hispana Unidas Leadership training. Her union opportunities have been to serve on the National Equity Committee, District 6 Service Representative Task Force Committee, Vice President Texas AFL-CIO for 12 years, Secretary of the San Antonio AFL-CIO Council for 10 years. She has been married for 36 years to Manuel Parra. They have 2 daughters Melissa and Melinda. Gloria has one grandson Manuel Christopher Rocha and is presently awaiting the birth of her granddaughter in July, 2006. |

Donna began her career with Southwestern Bell Telephone in April 1971 in El Paso, Texas, as a Long Distance Operator. She later held positions of Supplies Attendant and Service Representative. In 1983, Donna was elected Department Vice President - Marketing for CWA Local 6733. She served 2 terms as Local President before her CWA Staff Representative appointment in January 2000, in Dallas, Texas. Donna has a son, Wayne Snow, who is employed by AT&T Dallas and is a member of Local 6215 and a daughter Mandy, currently a Veterinarian student. She also has two grandsons, Patrick and Tyler.

Sylvia started her career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1981 in San Antonio, Texas as a Directory Assistance Operator. In 1984 she worked as a Service Order Writer and in 1997 accepted a transfer to SBC Business Billing as a Service Representative. She became a Job Steward for CWA Local 6143 in 1982 and has held numerous elected positions such as Chief Steward, Vice President, and Executive Vice President. Sylvia chaired the Organizing and Mobilizing Committee for her local. On September 7, 1998, she was recognized by the AFL-CIO when she received the, "A Woman's Place is in her Union" award. Sylvia was elected as the AT&T State Strategist and held that position until she was appointed CWA Staff Representative in Dallas, Texas. Sylvia has three children who are all members of CWA, Jason, John, and Jacquelyn Nicole. |

Graduated from University of Houston in 1990. Majored in Business Commerce. Presently employed by CWA as a National Staff Representative. CWA is affiliated with the AFL-CIO, the Canadian Labor Congress (CLC), and the UNI. Also Jerrell held the following positions at Local 6222 in Houston, Texas: Vice President, Bargaining Delegate, Convention Delegate, Exevutive Board Member, Director of Organizing, CWA Blood Drive Coordinator for Houston Market Area, Director of Equity, AFL-CIO Legislative Delegate and Director of Education. Jerrell is married and is the father of one child, Jerrell Bernard Miller, II. Previously, Jerrell was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone COmpany from 1978-2001 and held the following titles: Operator, Service Technician, PBX Installer, Customer Serivce Technician, Cable Splicing Technician, and Network Center Technician. |

Sandy was a member of the Executive Board of the University Employees Union, which affiliated with CWA Local 6186 in 1986. She was active in the local organizing committee and became a Local Organizer in 1987. She was promoted to National Staff of the CWA in 1991 as a District Organizing Coordinator. She lives in Dallas with her husband and daughter. |

Judy joined the organizing staff of CWA Local 6186 - Texas State Employees Union, in 1988. During her 18 years of service with Local 6186, she served as Lead Organizer for Southeast Texas and helped develop and lead statewide caucuses of Universities and Human Services Members. She chaired the Local's bargaining committees during negotiations with Aramark, KLRU, and Supershuttle. In February 2007, she was promoted to the position of CWA Representative in the Dallas Staff Office. Judy and her husband Orell, have two grown children. |

John began his career with SBC Aug. 1966 as an unlocated lineman in Muskogee, OK, CWA Local 6013. He also worked as an Installer in Okmulgee, OK and a C.S.T. in Henryetta, OK. John served Local 6013 as VP & EVP prior to becoming Pres. in 1971. In 1986 his local merged with CWA Local 6012 in Tulsa, OK and John accepted a newly created VP South position. In 1987 John ran for and was elected into the open position of EVP; serving until Aug. 1, 1989 when he accepted a CWA Rep position. Prior to supporting John for the VP position in 1968, then Local 6013 President Lela Foreman ask for his commitment to become involved within the Community where he lived. John's involvement within the Community resulted in his being the first labor rep to be elected as a City Councilman in Henryetta, OK in 1981. Also, John was elected and served as the D6 Trustee on the CWA Savings and Retirement Trust from 1975-1989; served as Sec/Treas for the Okmulgee County AFL-CIO Council, in OK 1982-1986; and was active in the Democratic Party 1969-1989. As a CWA Rep, John has been involved in many Organizing Campaigns in both private and public sectors. John has negotiated many contracts with various Companies within the Private and ITU-CWA Sector as well as handling grievance/arbitration responsibilities. John is widowed and has four children and eight grandchildren.

I began working with Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1976 in Rockport, TX as a summer help Installer-Repairman. While attending my third year at Texas A&I University in Kingsville, TX, I was offered a position as an Installer-Repairman in Kenedy, TX in December 1977. A year and a half later, I transferred to Corpus Christi, TX as a Cable Splicer. I was a cable splicer for 22 years then transferred to the rehab group as a Customer Service Technician. I have been a proud CWA member since my first day on the job. I became Union Steward for the construction group in my work center in 1997. In 1999, I was elected as 1st Vice-President for Local 6137 and in 2003 I was elected Secretary-Treasurer. In December of 2005, I was elected President and served in that capacity until my promotion to CWA Staff Representative, Kansas City, MO in December 2007.
I served for two years on the Safety & Health Committee for District 6. I have served in many other volunteer leadership roles in my community and have been involved in many political campaigns. I served for 12 years on the Gregory-Portland School Board, in my hometown of Portland, TX, five of those years as an officer. I was President of the Coastal Bend Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO for four years and two years as District 5 Vice-President, on the TX AFL-CIO Executive Board. I have been married to my wife, Carmen, for 30 years. She is a school teacher and an AFT member. We have four sons. Charles Patrick and Michael Paul, both work for AT&T in Austin, TX and are CWA members. John Paul is a University of Texas graduate who works for Country Fresh Foods in Dallas. Our youngest son, Nicolas Salome, graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word, in San Antonio, in December 2007. We also have a beautiful four year old granddaughter, Mia Milan, and a new grandson, Nicolas Enrique, born 1/13/08. I am devoted to doing a great job for the CWA membership, and look forward to my new responsibilities!

AJ started his career with Southwestern Bell Telephone in Mission, Kansas as a Clerk in the business office, in 1981. In 1989 he became a Service Representative, still in Mission, Kansas. In 1983, after the strike, he was made a job steward for Local 6327. He was elected Vice President-SWBT for Local 6327 in 1984 and served in that position until 1997. He held numerous positions within the Local, such as; chief steward, steward, organizer, mobilizer and member of various committees. He also earned his Bachelor's Degree from St. Mary College in 1995. In July 2000, he was appointed Staff Representative in Dallas, Texas and later transfered to the Kansas City Staff office in January 2001. Rita began working for Pacific Bell in 1971 as an Operator in Whittier California. In 1972 she transferred back to St. Louis to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone as a Directory Assistance Operator. She also worked as a Stockman, Supplies Attendant, Records Clerk – C, and a Customer Services Rep. She held various positions of Steward, Chief Steward, Vice President - Central, and Secretary in Local 6310 from 1980 thru 1995. She was President of the Greater St. Louis CWA City Council from 1986 thru 1995. She was and still is active in her community. She sits on the Board of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, the Missouri AFL-CIO, and she is a delegate to the St. Louis Labor Council. She recently did not seek re-election for her position on the Executive Board of the Mary Ryder Home of which she has been a member for the past 26 years. She is active in Democratic politics both in her community and statewide. Rita was appointed a temporary staff in April 1995 and work for a year on TCI organizing campaign in Texas City, Texas. In 1996 she was promoted to a permanent Staff position in Tulsa Staff Office. She was promoted to Area Director in 1999 and worked in the District office in Austin, Texas. In February 2000, she took a position of Northern Area Director in the St. Louis Area office. |

Mike was appointed to a CWA Staff Representative position in 2004. He served on the 2004 CWA Bargaining Committee during negotiations with SBC. Mike served as a Job Steward and Chief Steward for over 20 years and currently a dues paying member of CWA Local 6320. He retired from SBC in 2005 and is an active member of the Greater St. Louis CWA Retirees Club. Mike lives in St. Louis with his wife and their two children. |

Bill began his career with Southwestern Bell in December of 1968 as a Frameman, he also has worked as an Installer, Installer-Repairman, and then as a Linemen until he became a CWA Representative. Bill served as a Steward, Chief Steward, Vice-President and was elected President of Local 6402 in 1987. He served as Local President until he was appointed as CWA Representative in May of 1991 in St. Louis Missouri. Bill also served on the Board of Directors for United Way, Board of Directors KANSEL, Executive Board Member Wichita-Hutchison Central Labor Council, Delegate to the Labor Federation, Board of Directors, Plaindealer, President of the Kansas Council. Bill has bargained many contracts which include, Southwestern Bell Wireless, Sprint, Mark Twain Rural, Southwestern Bell, CenturyTel and others. Bill has three children Jason, Rusty and Robyn. He also has two grandchildren Christopher and Charles Grant. |

After earning a degree in Business Management, Mark began his career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1978 as a Supplies Attendant in Hannibal, Mo. During his career with the Company, Mark has also held titles of Station Installer, Installer/Repairman, Cable Repair Technician, Customer Services Technician and Systems Technician, which remains his current title. Except for the 6 months he spent in Hannibal at the onset of his employment, Mark has been a member of CWA Local 6314. He was a Steward for the Local from 1981 until his election as Vice President in March 1987. In November 1996, Mark was elected President of the Local and continued serving in that capacity until his appointment to a CWA Staff Representative position in October 2000. During his years with Local 6314, Mark also served as picket captain; strike director and chairperson of both the Organizing Committee and the Legislative Committee. He also served as Vice President of the Missouri Political and Legislative Committee. He was elected 3 times as a member of the CWA Bargaining Committee to negotiate with SWBT and has served on other Bargaining Committees as well. Mark also served as President of the Sedalia Federation of Labor, a central labor council of the Missouri AFL-CIO, for over 10 years. In 1981, Mark married his lovely wife Beverly. Together, they have 2 children, Justin and Kimberly. Mark is assigned to the Northern Area Office in St. Louis, Mo. |

Tom began working for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1977. He held his first elected position as an area Vice President with Local 6310 in 1989. Following this first term Tom was elected as the Executive Vice President for Local 6310 until his appointment as a District Organizing Coordinator with CWA in 2002. Tom has also served as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Greater St. Louis CWA City Council and Secretary/Treasurer of the St. Louis chapter of Jobs With Justice. Tom, and his wife Libby, live in St. Louis with his stepson, son and two daughters. |
