Information About the Verizon EEOC Disability Settlement

The EEOC settled a disability discrimination suit against Verizon earlier this year. The terms of the settlement apply to former Verizon employees who were terminated under the company's absence control plans when they should have been able to take further leave as a reasonable accommodation for an ADA-covered disability.

Message From Vice President Claude Cummings Jr.

Dear Union Brothers and Sisters: Now that the election is complete and our members have spoken, as your newly elected Vice President, I am extremely excited about our future in District 6. By standing united and working together we will prevail in our struggles against Corporate America. With certainty, I believe that our struggles will be many and the challenges will be even greater, but I am also confident that our district is prepared to do whatever it takes to secure the future of our members. In the next few days I will be meeting with my Staff to discuss and roll out our agenda. Until then, it will be "Business as Usual." Upon completion I plan to meet with all Locals for discussion and recommendations. It is a privilege and an honor to serve as your Vice President, and I am looking forward to working with you in the upcoming years. In Unity and Solidarity
