On Monday, May 5, 2008, we met with representatives from The City of Broken Arrow to begin 2008 negotiations. We proposed continued adoption of the following articles:
1. Purpose of Agreement
2. Prohibition of Strikes and Lockouts
3. Savings Clause
4. Holidays
5. Vacation Leave
6. Uniforms
7. Retirement Benefits
8. Long-Term Disability Plan
9. Vision Materials and Paid Leave Donation Bank
10. Flexible Benefit Plan and Optional Benefit Plan
11. Dues Deduction
12. Safety & Health
13. Mutual Responsibility to Avoid Discrimination
14. Longevity
15. Substance Abuse Testing and Employee Assistance Plan
16. Management Bargaining Agent Meetings
17. Certifications
Furthermore, we held a discussion on Union Business which included Union Leave, Stewards, and Bulleting Boards. Lastly, there is a contract explanation meeting scheduled on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at CWA Local 6012, from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM.
