On Wednesday, April 1, 2020, the election committee counted the ballots returned for the Tentative Agreement that was reached on March 13, 2020, and certifies that the agreement has ratified.
In July of 2018, our Sisters and Brothers of District 1 were able to enter early negotiations with Verizon regarding wages and healthcare. They were successful in achieving a 4 year agreement extension. With our current CBA set to expire this September, District 6 assessed our options and noted that D1 had approximately 30,000 employees in their bargaining units and we are less than 30.

Today, both Verizon and your Union committees met in full session. We had discussions over the proposed healthcare and the cost of it along with questions over the HRA (Health Reimbursement Account MOA).
The Union and the Company kicked off bargaining on 08/28/2017. After opening statements by both sides, the Company passed their proposals and the Union also passed some of ours across the table.
