The Union (CWA) and Company (CenturyLink/Lumen) have met all week in an attempt to get a contract by expiration on January 31, 2021.
The parties reached a tentative agreement (TA) on the following proposals;
UC to CC to UP7, Article 12, Meals and Lodging; UP9, Article 14, Vacation Pay Associated with STD/Worker’s Compensation; CP8, Article 3, Voluntary Benefits; and UC to CP19, Pension Agreement.
The Union has continued to reject retrogressive proposals that DO NOT provide job security for our members, for instance; lay off while using contractors, reduce hours while using contractors, change your work schedule with 48 hour notice, eliminate Sunday pay, reduce Holiday pay, forced to use vacation days for first 5 days of worker’s compensation, and the elimination of the Memorandum of Agreement Contracting of Work/DSL.
The Union will be working over the weekend to review a Company package proposal in order to get a contract you can ratify.
Remember, your contract expires at midnight on January 31, 2021.
