The Union (CWA) and Company (CenturyLink) met August 27, 2018, in Jacksonville, AR.
The Union and Company continued to discuss their respective proposals and answer questions. The Union rejected Company Proposals: CP8, Article 12- Work Schedules and CP22, MOA-Home Dispatch. The Company rejected Union Proposals: UP3, Article 11-Vacations, UP4, Article 12-Work Schedules and Tours (Adequate Rest), UP13-Evolving Technologies, and UP16, Article 20-Safety Footwear.
The Union countered the following: UC to CP1, Article 2-Definitions, UC to CP4, Article 9-Overtime, Callout and Sunday Pay, UC to CP17, Article 30-Sickness and Disability, and UC to CP31, Article 12-Work Schedules and Tours. The Company countered the following: CC to UP1, Article 9- Overtime Pay, CC to UP10, Article 21-Authorized Absences, and CC to UP15-CWA/NETT. The Union withdrew UP9, Article 20-Safety.
The Union and Company met again on August 28, 2018. The Union and Company spent most of the day reviewing CP10, Article 15-Classification. The Company presented CC to UC to CP1, Article 2-Definitions, CC to UC to CP4, Article 9-Overtime, Callout and Sunday Pay, and CC to UC to CP6, Article 10-Holidays.
We are scheduled to meet again on August 29, 2018.
Your contract expires August 31, 2018.
