The CWA Bargaining Unit consists of Kara Hutchason, Chair, Ed Stephens President Local 6314, Chris Kennison KRCG-TV.
On Friday November 7, 2014, CWA met with KRCG-TV to enter into negotiations. Both the Company and the Union. CWA and the Company opened up by presenting opening statements that consisted of negotiating a fair and just contract that looks after our member’s best interest at KRCG-TV. The Union passed the following proposals, Vacation, Union Dues, Hours of Work/Scheduling /Overtime/Call Ins, Holidays, Sick Leave and Disability. After discussion over these items, the Company presented us with their package proposal that included much of the language currently contained in our current contract.
The Union reviewed the Company’s proposals and asked questions pertaining to the language. After much discussion, the Union and the Company agreed to schedule subsequent dates to reconvene bargaining. We will keep you updated as new developments occur.
