The Union and Consolidated Communications of Texas (Lufkin/Conroe) continued negotiations Wednesday, October 9, 2019. Your Bargaining Committee continued discussions with the Company on all Union and Company proposals and counter proposals on the table.

The Union and Consolidated Communications of Texas (Lufkin/Conroe) continued negotiations Thursday, October 3, 2019. Your Bargaining Committee passed additional counter proposals to the Company and discussed the need to improve the current CBA.

The parties resumed contract negotiations Monday morning and continued working beyond the midnight expiration of the 2016 Agreement.  This is to advise that, despite the tremendous efforts of your CWA Bargaining Committee, a tentative agreement on a successor contract has not been reached.  As such, we are working without a contract.  All employees should report to work as normal until otherwise notified. 

The Union and Century Link of Texas met this weekend both Saturday, September 28th, and Sunday, September 29th, as we continued our intense discussions with the Company on their proposals as well as the proposals the Union presented. We continued to ask for additional information from the Company to better understand their proposals.

The Union and Century Link of Texas met Friday, September 27, 2019. We continued our intense discussions on the Company’s retrogression proposals in great length. The Company made some movement but was still holding to their retrogression views.

The Union and Century Link of Texas met Thursday, September 26, 2019. We continued our intense discussions on the Company’s retrogression proposals in great length. The Company was reminded again that we were not here to give up contractual language that protects our members.

The Union and Century Link of Texas met Wednesday, September 25, 2019, and our discussions continued on protecting our members from retrogression proposals the Company would like to have in our CBA.
