Your Committee and the company met in joint session today to discuss in detail proposals handed across the table relating to Supply. The company is still working to answer RFI’s your Committee previously handed to the company.
The Union and the company met this morning. Your Committee addressed the company’s opening statement and the inconsistencies in it and their methods of bargaining, as well as rejecting most of their retrogressive proposals. We continued to express what was critical to the membership and will hold on those proposals.
The end of week three has brought new insight into these negotiations. Lines have been scratched into both sides of the table. But, FEAR NOT Brothers and Sisters, this Committee has its heals dug in and we are here to fight.

After extensive deliberation this morning over yesterday’s Sub- Committee’s meeting, your Bargaining Committee met in a joint session with the Company to exchange proposals. During today’s meeting, the company handed over TWO proposals to the Union.
One of the young men lost at Santa Fe was Christian “Riley” Garcia, the son of our CWA brother, Darryl Claussen, Jr. Riley died a hero. He was shot and killed while holding and blocking the door to save two of his classmates.
