Kingdom Telephone Company Union workers without a contract, CWA Pickets, Company responds

Your Union Bargaining Committee met with Dish the last two days to bargain for your first contract. The Union passed four proposals and the company countered on three of our proposals.

Your Bargaining Committee delivered another complete proposal package to the company this morning. At that meeting, the company provided feedback on the requested information from the day before.

The Union spent most of the day assessing the company counter proposal package and compared all their proposed language.

This is to announce the Union and the Company have reached a New Tentative Agreement on February 14, 2019.

Your Union Bargaining Committee met with DISH yesterday to resume bargaining for a 1st contract. The Company passed three proposals over seniority, grievance procedure and dues deduction.

Your committee sent the company a very big and comprehensive set of proposals for them to consider on Monday that would just leave wages outstanding. We submitted additional information requests to the company on Tuesday regarding seniority and wages including compensation.

Today your committee went over the information requests that have been filled by the company. We also assessed all the companies counter proposals to our Union proposals. We discussed what proposals the Union needs to make next.

The Union (CWA) and Company (CenturyLink) have agreed to extend the current contract until close of business Wednesday, September 5, 2018.

The Union (CWA) and Company (CenturyLink) bargaining committees met again on August 31, 2018, in Jacksonville, AR. Contract negotiations continued late into the night and at 11:59 p.m., the parties agreed to stop the clock in order to continue bargaining.

There will be a Dish Network call tomorrow, August 28, 2018, at 7:30 PM to provide an update on the Dish Bargaining that took place last week.

Your CWA Frontier Bargaining Committee is pleased to announce that we have reached a Tentative Agreement with Frontier regarding the four contracts: CBA 48(Core), CBA 548(Buried Service Wire), CBA 113(Supply Chain) and CBA (55), VZED out of the Austin local. A contract explanation call is being set up in the near future. You will receive the call in number shortly when the details are finalized. Below are some of the highlights from negotiations:

After many late night hours of a long and hard fought weekend the Union and company committees are back at the table and moving in the right direction.

After weeks of negotiations with no movement, due to previous company proposals being in your committee’s opinion, “completely retrogressive,” the table is finally moving.

Your Committee applaud your efforts! We are not the only ones who hear you. Your priorities have been laid out and the message has been heard loud and clear.

Your Bargaining Committee has heard you, and we are keeping your priorities front and center in everything we are doing. Your Mobilization efforts are not going unnoticed.

According to the surveys, the top three items were: Job Security, Healthcare and Contract Labor.

Your Committee spent the day going through each MOA and the changes proposed by the company in each one in preparation to respond.
