Several weeks ago DISH reached out to the Union stating they were going to start strictly enforcing the attendance policy they implemented in 2015 without notifying the Union. The Union immediately requested information over this and after reviewing the documentation provided, demanded bargaining with DISH.
A tentative agreement was reached between CWA and CenturyLink of Texas at approximately 10:30 pm on June 7, 2017. The existing contract will now include (6) six retail employees located in Killeen, Texas.
The Union and Company met in Killeen, TX to prepare for negotiations April 12 and 13, 2017. No formal proposals were presented. However, an agreement was reached as to how we will proceed going forward.
Your CWA Bargaining Committee met with the Company today. Wages and healthcare are at the forefront of discussions all day today. Also discussions were in reference to the on-call process and the Performance Bonus.
As was communicated in earlier reports, your Union Committee has been awaiting information that was requested on March 10, 2017. At that time, the Company thought they could provide the information sometime during the week of March 19-26, 2017.
This report is being provided as an update on the current state of contract negotiations. Since the parties last held full committee discussions on March 7, 2017, the Union requested additional information from the Company.

We began bargaining on February 28, 2017 and continued into the early morning of March 15, 2017.
